In accordance with Cultural Heritage Law No 107/2001 of 8 September, elements which reflect values of memory, age, authenticity, originality, rarity, uniqueness or exemplarity are considered as having relevant cultural interest. Historic, paleontological, archaeological, architectural, linguistic, documentary, artistic, ethnographic, scientific, social, industrial or technical features are all included under this law.
As Cultural Heritage represents the values of civilization and culture, the company promotes all actions necessary to disseminate knowledge and to protect and enhance our heritage. The methodologies employed are mostly based on preventive maintenance, allowing possible situations which may cause negative impacts to be addressed in a timely manner.
Our concern to identify, safeguard and enhance our Cultural Heritage underlies our work in road and rail infrastructure management throughout the life cycle of all property. Today, this approach can be seen in all company activity, particularly with regard to planning, design and construction
